PackMate – Privacy Policy

PackMate is designed with your privacy in mind. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

WHAT WE COLLECT

• Trip data you create (destinations, items, checklists) stored locally on your device.

• If you use Share Trip, your trip data is uploaded to Firebase Firestore so a travel partner can join via a 6-character code.

• We use anonymous Firebase Authentication — no account, email, or name is required.

• We do not collect your name, email, location, or any personally identifiable information.

HOW WE USE YOUR DATA

• Your trips are stored locally and are not shared with anyone unless you explicitly use the Share Trip feature.

• Shared trip data in Firestore is identified only by a random 6-character code.

• We do not sell or share your data with third parties.

NOTIFICATIONS

If you enable reminders, we use local notifications scheduled on your device. No notification data leaves your device.

ANALYTICS

We do not use any third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.

DATA DELETION

You can delete any trip inside the app at any time. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data. Shared trip data in Firestore is automatically removed after 30 days of inactivity.
